Junior Hockey

“Having FUN Developing TALENT in the Bangor COMMUNITY”

Bangor Ladies Hockey Club Juniors aims to provide all girls in the Bangor area who are Fifteen (y11) and under the opportunity to play hockey.

Our goal is to create a safe and enjoyable environment based around hockey where the girls develop both their hockey skills and also hopefully long lasting friendships.

The Junior section is split into 4 sections with all sections training during school term time from September through to Easter:

  • Under 9’s (p3, p4 and p5) – Fridays 18:00 to 19:00
  • Under 11’s (p6 and p7) – Fridays 18:00 to 19:00
  • Under 13’s (y8 and y9) – Mondays 19:00 to 20:00 (Can attend either Monday or Friday training)
  • Under 13’s (y8 and y9) – Fridays 19:00 to 20:00
  • Under 15’s (y10 and y11) – Monday 20:00 to 21:00 and also optionally Wednesdays 19:30 to 21:00 for Y11 (with the senior squad)

All training is at the Aurora Leisure Centre Bangor. Match locations will vary.

The 2019-2020 season starts on the 30th of August 2019 for u9, u11 and u13, with the u15’s starting on the 2nd September 2019 and all groups finishing the regular season at Easter 2020.

End of season usually ends with our Family Club Day (Tournament and BBQ) mid May. Bangor L.H.C. Juniors also normally  run a Summer term each year (charged separately).

All age groups play matches; see the appropriate age group section (link above) for more details.

To train with Bangor L.H.C. Juniors it is mandatory  that a Contact Registration form  is completed for the following reasons:

  • Health and Safety (in case of injury or illness)
  • Child Welfare
  • To be picked to play in Matches and Blitz days

It is a suggested that all new members try a training session to see if they like it before committing to joining Bangor L.H.C. Juniors.
